First Data Corp. is cutting 201 employees at its Greenwood Village office, according to a filing made public Friday by the Colorado Department of Labor.
The Atlanta credit-card processor said affected employees work at the company’s facility at 4775 DTC Blvd. The layoffs begin Dec. 5 and will be completed by March 31, 2018.
In a letter to the state, First Data’s Senior Counsel Jill Poole said employees were notified Oct. 6. Relocation was offered “to a number of its employees.” The 201 job cuts, however, are “expected to be permanent,” Poole wrote.
First Data, which recently hired the former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom David Cameron, moved its headquarters back to Atlanta in 2009 after being based in Greenwood Village since 2001. At the time, it had 1,500 employees in Colorado. In 2013, the company cut half of its Denver workforce, or 550 people. The company could not be reached late Friday for comment.
